Joan Stevens is a flower guru with thousands of blooms in her very own backyard. She is a botanist and ethnobotanist by training, and a gardener by choice. She guerilla composts and builds soil wherever she can. Joan has a long career as a teacher in a variety of settings and is currently a biology instructor at Pasadena City College. She has two boys who are the inspiration for Two Suns Farm, an experimental micro flower farm in Pasadena, where she raises beautiful organic flowers for sale. Her current passion is designing year-round cut flower gardens and growing food in our challenging climate.
