APR 4: Growing Cannabis in the Garden with Christina Wong

$10 per ticket

Join expert Christina Wong here at Fig Earth Supply to learn how easy it is to grow this versatile plant. This workshop will cover the how and why of your starting material (clones, seeds, plants) and provide step by step instructions for growing outdoors on a patio or in the backyard (think tomatoes, but easier). Christina is here to answer your questions with sound advice based on years of gardening experience and will bring a variety of ‘show and tell’ items to demonstrate how to successfully grow at home.

Whether you're new to tomatoes or a seasoned grower looking to have the best harvest yet, this class is for you. From preparing your soil and choosing your varieties to pest and disease management, you won't want to miss this tomato 101.

APR 18: Drip Irrigation with Sanjay

Tired of wasting water and time with inefficient watering practices? Join Sanjay here at Fig Earth Supply to learn how to set up drip irrigation systems on trees and garden beds. Sanjay will demystify the process so you can feel empowered to design your own a water-wise garden. Topics will include understanding the different components and how they work together, potential layouts, choosing the right emitters, calculating water needs, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance.

APR 25: Spring Gardening with Conor

Start the spring season off strong with our Spring Gardening class. We’ll cover the essentials of preparing soil, selecting the right plants, as well as seeds to start now. You’ll also learn practical, organic methods for preventing and managing common garden pests so your plants can thrive naturally all season long. Perfect for beginners and gardeners looking to refresh their spring gardening skills!

MAY 2: Native Seed Starting with Nina Raj

$15 per ticket

Get your hands dirty with a workshop all about native seed sowing with Altadena Seed Library. Learn about the unique pretreatment requirements of various native seeds through this dynamic workshop. Participants will learn about light requirements, depth of planting, soil types, container specifications, heat needs, moisture conditions, stratification, and scarification. Demonstrations will include leeching, hot water scarification, sand paper, smoke scarification, and more!

MAY 16: Advanced Cannabis Growing with Christina Wong

$10 per ticket

Already familiar with cannabis gardening and looking for a deeper dive? Christina will cover a variety of advanced cannabis growing topics, from how to get a spring and summer crop to increasing your yields in a shady yard. Come with questions, Christina is here to help and will bring a variety of ’show and tell’ items for the class. We recommend taking our intro to cannabis gardening before signing up for this class!
