This one and half hour workshop will highlight some of the ups and downs of backyard beekeeping, mostly the ups. I will briefly cover the herstory of honey bees. Give insights on their behavior, how people discern whether a bee wants to sting or just give you warning and many other subtle behavioral cues. I will talk about the importance of pollinators, their organized lives and the many roles they play in the colony. Then finish on what humans can learn from the bees.
